Where

Join us at Woods Canyon Lake in the cool country north of Payson.  This lake is surrounded by a dense forest of pine, fir, oak, and aspen, and sits at an elevation of 7,000 feet. Hikers are afforded expansive views of the scenery below the Mogollon Rim. The Mogollon Rim, pronounced by locals as "muggy-own," is a 200-mile long cliff in northern Arizona that ranges between 5,000 and 7,000 feet in elevation and serves as the geographical dividing line between the cool, high country above and the hot, dry desert below.

Woods Canyon Lake Regional Area is about a 2.5-hour drive from Calvary church's central campus.  Official park site:  Woods Canyon Lake Regional Area

When

The Woods Canyon Group Campground will be open from 2:00 PM on Thursday through 1:00PM on Sunday.  Join us Friday and/or Saturday nights for worship around the campfire.  For details on camping, see the Camping section of the "Things to Know" page.

All meals will be on your own, but again, eating in the common area is encouraged. Hiking

This event DOES NOT have an organized hike, but there are some great places to explore on your own no matter what your hiking level. Normally, someone will organize an informal hike sometime during the weekend.

Children are more than welcome to join this event, but please read the Children section of the "Things to Know" page before you come.

* If you are bringing a child under the age of 18 for whom you are not the parent or legal guardian, a Medical Waiver/Consent Form must be completed, signed by a parent or legal guardian and presented at the check-in prior to the event.
