Women's Bible Study

The greatest desire of the Women's Ministry of Calvary Community Church, a Calvary Chapel located in Phoenix, Arizona is to worship and magnify our Lord Jesus Christ; and to be conformed into His image through the work of the Holy Spirit.

Our focus is to create opportunities for women to come to know Jesus Christ, to be mentored in their Christian life and to provide a place for women to connect and cultivate Christian friendships. Through the New Mercies radio program and special women's events, we are reaching out to the women of our church and community with the good news and love of Jesus and equipping them to grow as Christian women in their families, at work and in their community.

Ladies, please join us for Calvary's Womens Bible Study Fall 2010 semester, for the Romance of Redemption, a study in the book of Ruth. The study begins on September 5th (for the Sunday sessions) and on September 7th (for the Tuesday sessions)!

Have you ever felt alone or despised, perhaps you've struggled with bitterness or despair? Let the Word of God minister to you with the encouraging story of Naomi, her daughter-in-law Ruth, and their Goel, their kinsman redeemer, Boaz.

This study will take us from Genesis to Revelation giving us a glimpse into Hebrew culture and opening our understanding to the loveliness of our Lord's tender heart toward us. His desire to bless and protect us, to provide for our salvation is typified in this lovely, romantic story.

This is an exciting study of the Lord Jesus Christ, our Kinsman Redeemer, as seen through the lives of Ruth, the gentile bride, and Boaz, her bridegroom. This is an incredible study of the beauty of the act of redemption. We see no ugliness of the slave market here; instead we see the glory of grace as it is lavished upon a girl who was considered an outcast, but is fully embraced by Almighty God and drawn so near that she is brought from a place of destitution into the very lineage of Jesus Christ.
